WHO?
Corentin Occhipinti and Hugo Mallat, childhood friends from Vichy, France, form Lomochromy, a duo crafting music that is both raw and melodic, driven by a strong, almost cinematic visual identity.
Their inspirations range from visionary artists such as Daft Punk, Gesaffelstein, Justice, REZZ and more, to science-fiction cinema (Matrix, Tron, Alien, Blade Runner, Back to the Future…) and the world of video games (Cyberpunk 2077, Portal, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us…).
With their second album CONTRΞTEMPS, Lomochromy immerses the listener in an industrial dystopia where humanity is on the brink of extinction after reaching its civilizational peak. The album is marked by raw sounds, rough and metallic textures, and melodies that oscillate between introspective and unsettling, painting the image of a world in ruins.
Lomochromy strives to blur genre boundaries, letting electronic music coexist with pop, hip-hop, rock, and French Touch.
The duo also ventures into new sonic territories through their side projects: A SUMMER WITH LOMOCHROMY draws from psychedelic pop, SUNBURN explores western-inspired aesthetics, and STARGAZING channels cinematic soundtracks rooted in science fiction and space opera.
